Car Crash Magic is a family magic show presented by JezO, and Member of the prestigious Magic Circle. JezO performs stupid, chaotic magic amongst great feats of wonder. This unusual blend of comedy, audience participation and magic will include moments of danger, crazy hilarity, original illusions and JezO’s unique view of today’s ever changing universe.

Technical Rider

The technical specifications in this rider are a prerequisite for a successful performance of the show. It is possible to do a technically lighter, less prop heavy version of the show if required, but the full spectacular props and settings show is recommended.

Venue Requirements

Stage

There is no minimum stage size however recommended at least 8m wide x 4m deep Side wings are essential and space backstage to set props.
Easy access to the front or side of stage as the show includes audience participation.

Auditorium

Size of auditorium recommended ideally 150 seats or more in a theatre setting (Caberet or theatre seating only (no in the round performances)

Backstage

Space needed for large props (to be confirmed with venue) and two flight cases which are used on stage as tables throughout the show. Dressing room preferred but not essential.

Lighting

Simple to light bright white light to the stage

Sound

The show uses a few backing tracks during various routines run from an iPad to plug into the house PA system. JezO can control this himself but preferable if the in house technician can be cued by JezO on stage.

JezO provides his own radio headset microphone.

Set up and take down schedule

JezO requires 15minutes to set his show up on stage assuming there is space backstage to pre prep the show. Otherwise he would need 30 minutes to set up.

JezO’s show can be cleared within 15 minutes. There is no need for a sound check.
